The Club des Etoiles is happy to receive the eminent Belgian neurosurgeon and founder of the neurosurgical ward of the Erasme hospital, Professor Jacques Baron Brotchi on Tuesday September 20th 2022.
He proposes a bioethical theme that regards both health and politics, as 20 years ago, in 2002, Belgium passed a law that decriminalised, under certain conditions, euthanasia.
This subject will allow him to answer to questions about quality of life, end-of-life dignity, the importance of palliative care, the law of 2002 and its modifications in 2014 and 2020, and to talk about the situation of the countries that surround us.
